Home / Modules / Alumni

Keep every graduate connected, from the convocation day to the cheque they choose to write.

The Alumni module runs the directory, the chapters, reunions, mentoring and the job board, and it runs the fundraising too: donations, campaigns, pledges, memberships and receipts. A graduate who was a student here becomes an Alumnus without anyone re-typing their details.

From graduation to giving, in five stages.

Each stage builds on the one before. The record a graduate starts with is the one they keep, so nothing is re-entered when they move from one stage to the next.

  1. Graduate becomes Alumnus

At convocation, the record moves across automatically.

  2. Stays connected

Directory, chapters, community and class notes.

  3. Comes back

Reunions and events, with QR check-in at the door.

  4. Gives time

Mentoring students, posting jobs and referring candidates.

  5. Gives money

Donations and pledges, each with an instant receipt.

Every part of the Alumni network, from the record to the receipt.

Each block below covers one part of the module. Together they keep every graduate in touch, and every gift accounted for.

Graduates become Alumni automatically, and every Alumnus is verified.

At convocation, or when a batch leaves, the graduating students become Alumni on their own. Alumni can also register themselves or be imported in bulk, and every Alumnus is verified and given their own membership number for the institution.

  • Automatic conversion of graduating students into Alumni, plus self‑registration and bulk import.
  • Verification of every Alumnus, and each institution's own membership number.
  • Duplicate merging, export and a full change history.

Alumni find each other by batch, city, employer or skill, and show on the map only if they choose.

The directory filters by batch, employer, industry, city, chapter and skills. The map shows only the people who chose to share their location. A profile can be filled in from an uploaded CV, but the Alumnus ticks each item to keep, and nothing is added without them.

  • A searchable directory with filters: batch, employer, industry, city, chapter and skills.
  • An Alumni world map, showing only people who chose to share their location.
  • Profile suggestions from an uploaded CV, which the Alumnus ticks before anything is kept.
  • Custom profile fields for each institution, and In Memoriam pages.

Chapters, class notes and photo galleries keep each batch in touch.

Chapters by city or interest bring Alumni together. Class notes and stories are moderated before they appear, and photos are shared only with consent for how they are used.

  • Chapters and interest groups, a community feed and discussions.
  • Class notes (moderated), news and stories, and photo galleries with consent for use.
  • Polls, surveys, volunteering with verified hours, and badges.
  • A directory of businesses owned by Alumni.

Students are matched with Alumni mentors. Alumni can post vacancies and refer candidates, and students see the jobs posted by Alumni.

  • Mentoring: matching students with Alumni mentors.
  • A job board for Alumni and students, with employer logins, referrals and job alerts.
  • Interview scheduling and a career resources library.

A gift comes with an instant receipt, and every rupee reaches the accounts.

Donations go to funds, including restricted funds, and to campaigns. Each gift gets an instant receipt, with the 80G label in India, and every rupee is posted to the fee and finance records. Recurring gifts and pledges follow an instalment schedule.

  • Funds, including restricted funds, campaigns and online donations.
  • Instant receipts (80G in India), and multi-currency giving.

Campaigns, crowdfunding and peer pages show how far a goal has come, and how much time is left.

Campaigns track what has been raised against the goal. Crowdfunding projects and giving days run to a set end, either all‑or‑nothing or keeping what is raised, and Alumni can start their own fundraising pages for a cause they care about.

  • Peer-to-peer fundraising pages.
  • Crowdfunding projects and giving days, all‑or‑nothing or keep-what-you-raise.
  • Membership tiers and dues, free for recent graduates, and giving societies.

A donor moves through a clear pipeline, and every large gift is accepted by a committee.

Each prospect moves one stage at a time, from identify, qualify, cultivate and ask to thank. Large or unusual gifts go to a gift acceptance committee, and donors are screened against watch lists before a gift is taken.

  • A donor pipeline: identify, qualify, cultivate, ask and thank, one stage at a time.
  • Capacity and inclination ratings, each fully explained.
  • Gift acceptance by a committee for large or unusual gifts, and donor screening against watch lists.
  • Prospect researchers identify likely major donors.

Employers post through their own login, and Alumni and students see the same job board.

Employers post vacancies through their own login. Alumni and students see the same board, can set job alerts, and can refer candidates for a role.

  • Employer logins for posting vacancies.
  • Job alerts and referrals.

Each Alumnus controls which messages they receive, and a mass message is checked before it goes out.

Every channel and category has its own consent, and any Alumnus can unsubscribe with one click. A second person must approve a mass message before it is sent, and each message's delivery is tracked.

  • Email campaigns to segments, with templates and an editor, and WhatsApp messages with opt-in.

Tribute gift, in memory

A tribute gift tells the family that it was made, and never shows them the amount.

A gift can be made in memory of someone, or in honour of them. The family is told that the gift was made, and the amount stays private.

What sets the module apart from a list of old students.

Each of these is part of the module itself.

The Alumni module is connected to the students, the fees and the accounts.

A graduate's record comes from the student's own record, and their gifts go through the same books.

Questions people ask about the Alumni module.

What does the Alumni module do?

It keeps graduates connected for life: a directory and map, chapters, events and reunions, mentoring, a job board, and fundraising with donations, campaigns, pledges, memberships and receipts. For Companies, the same module runs an ex-employee network without the fundraising.

Are graduates added to the Alumni network automatically?

Yes. Graduating students become Alumni at convocation or when their batch leaves. Alumni can also register themselves, or be imported in bulk, and every Alumnus is verified.

Who can see my location on the Alumni map?

Only people who have chosen to share their location appear on the map. Photos are shared only with consent for how they are used.

Are donations receipted?

Every gift gets an instant receipt, with the 80G label in India. Every rupee is posted to the fee and finance records.

Does a tribute gift reveal the amount to the family?

No. The family is told about the gift in memory or in honour of their relative, but never the amount.

Can Alumni mentor students?

Yes. Students are matched with Alumni mentors, and Alumni can post jobs and refer candidates.
